Our bookmarks are handcrafted in our workshop in Roquebrune-sur-Argens (Var). They are created using the wire-wrapping technique, semi-precious stones, chains, and often charms.
Wire wrapping is an ancient technique used by artists and jewelry designers for thousands of years. Some scholars have identified this technique as an art form, a craft technique dating back to at least 2000 BC. Researchers have found spiral wire jewelry or jewelry components (spirals are frequently found in wire wrapping) in various locations, such as the royal tombs of Ur (a Sumerian city), Egyptian tombs, and even remains from ancient Rome. This technique requires neither glue nor solder.
